| UCertify's
Prep Kits
I just had the chance to review Ucertify's prep kits. I was pleasantly surprised with the look and feel of this product. The test engine was close enough to the real test engine to simulate the test experience. The questions were very close in difficulty to the questions on the real exams. After completing the exam you are able to review your answers are read some nicely detailed explanations to help you understand the answers. | ||

Windows
2000 Professional Installation and Configuration Handbook
Written by Jim Boyce. Published by QUE. I had heard good things about this authors Install and Config handbooks for NT but never got a chance to look at one. It is a decent book as it goes into detail on the install process and includes plenty of screenshots so you know exactly what to do. You will need prior knowledge of NT to follow some areas. I will keep this on hand as it will make a nice reference to refer to for troubleshooting. |

Windows
2000 Certification Headstart Written by Duncan Anderson and Thomas W. Shinder. Published by Osborne McGraw-Hill. This is one of the first books that I have seen to claim to be a certification prep tool. It will definitely give you a head start but will not fully prepare you for the exams. I enjoyed reading it and liked the writing style. Just be warned that you wont be putting it down and heading off to the testing center. |
